The Montgomery design
The Walter Gropius handle is a design we have always admired and we love it for its solid and simple grip. That's why we started with a cylindrical shape when we designed the Montgomery range.
We sought to keep the lines as clean and simple as possible, which led on to the idea of a clasped stem, thus keeping everything about the handle cylindrical.
Once the proportions were finalised and prototypes were made, we felt something was missing, so delicate circular motifs were introduced to each end of the handle to complete the strong yet elegant design.
Textures
DIAMOND KNURLING
Diamond knurling is inspired by the textured, cross-hatched grips of vintage tools. Our version is CNC machined into solid brass, creating a precise tactile texture. We added a fine diamond knurl to the Montgomery design, creating a more tactile and textural variation.

LINEAR KNURLING
Linear knurling is our contemporary update on a traditional diamond knurl. CNC-machined for precision, the effect creates a ribbed, almost fluted look on solid brass.
