What Are Your Lead Times?

We appreciate that lead times are an important consideration when working to a project schedule, and are a key factor when it comes to decision making.

The lead time for our products depends on several variables, including the size and scope of the order, and product types. Here’s a brief guide to give an idea of our typical lead times:

Stocked and finished

These are cabinet and joinery products which have gone through our finishing process and are ready to leave; we keep a small selection of sizes and finishes in stock. We tend to keep a stock of our more popular finishes such as Mid Antique Brass Waxed and Dark Bronze Waxed. These products are available for despatch within 1-2 working days.

Stocked and unfinished

We keep a wide stock of raw brass (unfinished) components available. Once your chosen finish is confirmed and the order is placed, the lead time is 4 weeks. However, if the product chosen has a complex or additional manufacturing process, or the quantities you require a very high, this can increase the lead time, because every product we send to you is hand finished.

Made to order

Our made to order products have longer lead times of approximately 10-12 weeks, depending on quantities required, as well as the complexity of the manufacturing process: for example, if the handle is textured or leathered as these are artisan processes, done by hand.

Products in this category have a tiered pricing structure, based on the quantity required.

We may have a small quantity in stock for samples, so it’s always worth getting in touch to find out how we can assist you here.

A note regarding project orders: due to the typical size of these orders, they fall under the made to order lead time of 10-12 weeks. Our Projects team can liaise with you to arrange a part-despatch if required, as we may have first fix (cut-in) items such as hinges, locks and latches available ahead of the full order.

Bespoke products

Due to the creation of bespoke products being a more collaborative process, bespoke products are generally on a production lead time of 12-16 weeks. Note that this excludes the finalising of the design – we recommend allowing an additional 2 weeks for final drawings to be issued for approval. Production of your unique design will commence once we receive sign-off.
